Research on Adult Childrens´ Perception of Solidarity and Discord with Their Aged Parents

Abstract

|
The purpose of this research is to investigate on solidarity and discord between aged parents and adult childrens. In this research, a questionnare was used composed of a solidarity between aged and adult children index, a discord index. The subjects of the inquiry were merried males and females who had one or more aged parent, and who lived in the rural or urban areas of Kyungsang south Province. Finally 540 questionnares used inthd analysis. As the result of this study adult childrens´ perception of solidarity with their aged parents were below average, and the discord were very high. So intergenerational relationships showed become an issue.
